Elizabeth Lawson married John Murphy. The bond is dated 10 Dec 1799 and signed by John Murphy and Isaac Lawson. Elizabeth was stated to be the daughter of Isaac & Agnes Lawson. The minister was John Cree and the date of the marriage was 19 Dec. The same minister married Robert Lawson Jr & Margaret Hicks.

Nothing is known of what happened to the Murphys. But some of Elizabeth's siblings - her brothers Isaac & Andrew - seem to appear in Randolph Co IL by 1850. Perhaps because her family was already there.

In 1820, in Springfield, Randolph Co IL, there was both a James and a John Murphy.
John Murphy was listed as John Murphey Senr and had 1m child under 10 and 3 males age 16-26, one male over 45; 2f under 10, 1f 16-26, 1f 26-45, and 1f over 45.
John Murphey Junr on the same page had 1m under 10, 1m 26-45; 1f under 10 and 1f 16-26. Only one of the Johns was indexed. James Murphey also lived in Springfield: 1m under 10, 1m 26-45; 1f under 10, 1f 16-26, 1f 26-45.

An early settler of Randolph was said to be a Lawson Murphy. I did find Lawson Murphy in the 1830 census with a male child under five, 2 males age 20-30, and a single female age 20-30.
And a John Murphey was there in Randolph in 1830. 1m under 5, 1m 5-10, 1m 10-15, 1m 15-20, 1m male age 30-40; 2f under 5, 2f 5-10, and a female 30-40.

By 1840, the only John Murphy was age 40-50. Lawson Murphy was age 30-40.
Both had a number of children. Other Murphys were David, Felix G., James, Miller, and William.

Still in Randolph in 1850, we discover Lawson as age 42, a bricklayer, born in Virginia. Wife apparently deceased. Bryson, age 17; Misa Lavonia age 15; David L. age 13, and Elizabeth Jane age 9. There were several Murphys in 1850 - the only other one born in Virginia was William, age 44, also a bricklayer - his children were Maria L., Sarah Jane, and John.
