Nathaniel was Mehitabel's only child; she died at his birth or soon after. His father, joined the army in the expedition against Canada in the French & Indian War of 1708/09 and died at Fort Anne, now located in Washington Co NY. He was brought up by his maternal grandfather, Samuel Buell, and married Eunice Horton, 17 Nov 1724.
Nathaniel was a merchant. He was in Boston on business when he died.
