Judith married Richard Kirby (- Oct. 1781 ) by 19 January 1760.
He held 254 acres in Halifax County in 1755.
Richard married second her niece Esther Anderson in Halifax County 27 July (bond) 1767. Richard Kirby Jr. was disowned for marrying his first wife’s sister’s daughter 18 June 1768.
Richard married third Sarah Witt, a daughter of Charles Witt whose 1771-will in Halifax County left one shilling to his daughter Sarah Kerby. For being married by a priest, he was disowned, but reinstated, in 1778.
William Byrd deeded 415 acres on the Dan River to Richard Kirby 20 May 1762, and Samuel Harris sold him 500 acres on both sides of Medway Creek 16 May 1765. No wife relinquished dower right when Richard sold 340 acres on the north fork of Winns Creek to Henry Farley 16 July 1767. It was either he or his son of the same name who was granted 367 acres on a fork of Sandy Creek in Pittsylvania County in 1780 and 358 acres on Sycamore Creek in Henry County in 1781.
Richard left a will in Halifax County remembering his then wife, Sarah, and sons Joseph, Richard, and William. He appointed as executors son Joseph and brother, Henry Baker Kirby (will dated 30 Aug. 1781, recorded 21 Feb. 1782). Sarah Kirby married second Jesse Davis in Halifax County 30 November (bond) 1785, with Joseph Kirby as surety.
Richard and Joseph, sons of Richard Kirby, deceased, were listed among members of Banister Monthly Meeting, in good standing, 16 August 1782. Together they deeded about 395 acres to Elias Dodson and Thomas Dodson 25 January 1790.
