Individual Details
James Anthony
(18 Dec 1752 - 1827)
Marriage record: Josiah Carter and John Talbot, sureties. Consent of Henry Tate, father of Ann.
The history of the Bever Creek Church, Henry Co, circa 1786-Sept 1791 shows a James Anthony as Clerk, signing all the minutes. Presumably it is this James since his father died in Henry Co in 1785. In October of 1791, Thomas Bolling signed as Clerk and there is an entry "Letter of dismission from Bro. James Anthony wife and daughter". Presumably they were moving to Wilkes Co, GA.
20 Aug 1804. John Ray, Bolling Anthony and James Anthony, were appraisers for the estate of Jess Stallings, dec'd.
