President Thomas Jefferson
(13 Apr 1743 - 4 Jul 1826)
Third President of the United States from 1801-1809.
Whether or not Thomas Jefferson had an alliance with his slave Sally Hemings [who was also a half-sister to his deceased wife] will no doubt always be a subject under discussion. It is my believe that he did indeed father at least five children by Sally:
Harriet, b. 5 Oct 1795, d. 7 Dec 1797
Beverly, b. 1 Apr 1798
Harriet, b. 22 May 1801
Madison, b. 19 Jan 1805, d. 1877, married Mary McCoy ca 1831
Eston, b. 21 May 1808, d. 1856, Madison Wisconsin, married Julia Ann Isaacs about 1832.
