Anderson is said to have married Mary Jane Reynolds, 20 Oct 1874, Crittendon Co KY.

However, in 1880, I found this A. M. Waddell living in Louisville, Jefferson Co KY and a boarder in what appeared to be a large hotel:
A. M. Waddell, age 50, b. AL, parents born AL - right age but wrong birthplaces.
R. A. Waddell, wife of A. M. W., age 46, b. TN, parents b. TN
Bettie A., age 20, daughter of A.M. W., b. TN



Much is not known about the Waddill family relationships. It is interesting that there was another Anderson - Anderson M. Waddell of Lynchburg, VA. Possibly this Anderson was named for this earlier man.
Caswell County NC DB S, p.224 1 May 1818 Thomas Stamps of Halifax Co VA to Anderson M. Waddell of Lynchburg, VA for $1750, 53 front ft. on Main St. in Milton which he purchased of Carter Atkinson. Wit: Saml. Settle, Thomas M. Rainey
DB S, p.194 31 Apr 1818 Anderson M. Waddall of Lynchburg, VA to Romulus M. Sanders for $5000, part of lot 23 in Milton of 53 ft. 4 ins. on Main St. Wit: Henry Hooper. This is interesting in that the date of this deed is April 31 - there is no such date; the sale also appears to have happened prior to the purchase.
