Individual Details

Joseph Andrew Pickens

(5 Nov 1861 - 16 Apr 1952)

Don't know when Joe Pickens went to Texas. Joe was still in Alabama with his father in 1880. His uncle Dr. Andrew Gibson Pickens was in Fannin Co; Dr. Pickens died there in 1887. All the children who were born 1888 and following, state their birth as being in Texas.

Joseph and Cordova were 3rd cousins once removed - Joe was a descendant of the Hadens who settled in Alabama. I wonder if they ever knew this.

Joe A. Pickens and Joseph B. Haden were partners in business from 1900-1903.
