Joe A. Ayres passed away Thursday, July 15, 2010. Memorial service: 10 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, Mansfield.
Joe was born Aug. 6, 1929, in Vernon, an only child, blessed with loving parents. He graduated from Paschal High School in 1946 and continued his education in engineering at Texas Christian University finishing his degree at the University of Texas at Austin in 1951.
He retired as vice president of product development in 1993 from Vought. Joe was a Christian and faithful member of the Wesley Class of the First United Methodist Church, Mansfield.
Survivors: Wife and soulmate, Linda Ayres; children, Jim, Chris, Lauralee and Troy; grandchildren, Taylor, Dylan, Caroline and William.

ARLINGTON -- Lauranette Reid Ayres, 74, passed away Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004, after a lengthy illness.
Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Arlington Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fort Worth. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Arlington Funeral Home.
Lauranette was born March 17, 1929, in Fort Worth. She graduated from Arlington Heights High School and attended Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Arlington and was involved in the Garden Club and the Bridge Club in Arlington. She was a loving mother to her three children and took great pride in her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Laura Reid.
