Be it remembered that on the twenty ninth day of May, 1727 a marriage license issued to Nathaniel Owens and Susannah Ross both of lawful age and residents of said County and was joined in the holy Bands of Matrimoney on the 31st day of June (sic - surely meant May!) James M. Elocie
FindAGrave has her surname as Bass - with Bass parents. Either the marriage record is unreadable or this was her second marriage. Death certificates of children and other records also list her maiden name as Bass.
