Family of Edward Benton of Wethersfield CT, born 1638. Married Mary ??
Died Wethersfield, Feb 19, 1698, age 60 years. Inventory of his property mentions his children Samuel, Edward, Rebecca, Mary, Ellen & Dorothy. Edward was underage. Another child Daniel was b. March 1682, died in July of that year. Letters of admin were granted to Mary, relict of Edward Benton late of Wethersfield. He emigrated from England and was one of the first settlers of Guilford, CT where he was admitted freeman in 1650. Mary,, widow, died 8 Aug 1702, 59 yr, 8m.
