John married (1) by 1759 to Margaret, of Tolland. She died in Amenia, NY, 29 Dec 1772, age 39. He married (2) Abigail (Fenton) Abbott. who was "of Amenia" at Hampton, CT, 1775. Abigail died in Amenia, 14 Aug 1776, age 46. John married (3) by 1778, Lydia (Lathrop) Delano. The family left Amenia. Seven children were baptized in Amenia.
