Capt. Christopher Irvine, born about 1760, was killed while with General
Logan in Ohio. Captain Christopher married Lydia Calloway, daughter of
Col. Richard Calloway, who was killed at Boonesboro, Ky. Capt. Christopher
Irvine and Lydia Calloway had two daughters, Fannie and Mary, and one son,
David. Mary (born 1784, died 1869) married John Hart. Fannie married
Robert Caldwell. The widow of Capt. Christopher Irvine married Gen.
Richard Hickman.

Robert was a Senator of Kentucky, representing Madison Co KY, in 1801.

Marriage records of Clark Co KY also show a marriage of Robert "Cardwell" to Nanny Irvine on 23 Nov 1802, some twenty years after the above. Apparently just a coincidence.


A FindAGrave entry has Robert Jr. married to Agnes Hannah Willis to whom he married in Mercer Co, KY, 28 Nov 1786. A large family of children is included.
Robert is said to have died 1838, Adair Co.
Possibly there was more than one Robert Caldwell!
