Camilla married in DeSoto Parish, LA in 1847 - that is the earliest reference to her found so far. The Fmily Bible states they were married by th Rev. Wm. E. Doty, 22 June 1847.

She and her hsuband are named as heirs of Robert G. Haden, deceased, in the lawsuit of her mother to obtain her dower, Sept 1852.

Across the state line in Panola TX in the 1850 census is a Dickson Thompson, age 28, b. TN with wife "Caroline", age 24, b. AL. They have two children born in Texas, Augusta A. age 2 and Cornelia age 6 months. They lived next door to Amos Thompson, age 50, and his family. [I think this stands an excellent possibility of being Camilla - perhaps her name was misread in transcribing the marriage record, or the enumerator misunderstood the name Camilla.]

There is a family bible that include dates of marriage and births of both Dickson and Camilla, as well as entries for the deaths of Robert G. Haden and Mary L. Haden.  The earliest entries appear to be written by Dickson Thompson (who writes "my father" when giving information about his father, Amos). It was maintained by their daughter, Jimmie Conway Thompson and her husband, William Rufus Cavett, and the original is still held by one of the descendants.
