W. L. Dillard, owns his home worth $400 on Commerce St. He was 50, b. in TN. They lived in Ladonia in 1935, but not the same house. He was a ginner at the Cotton Gin, making $600 a year.

William Lee Ganie Dillard of Ladonia, Fannin Co, TX was age 52, born in Smith Co, TN on the 9th of Oct, 1889. He had no phone. Mrs. Ola Dillard of Ladonia would always know his address. His employer was J. A. Bishop & Co. Ganie was 5'5", 112 lb. with blue eyes, brown hair.

Charlene Parks got a reply from Ruby Huffines in a nursing home which said Gainey had died in 1970.

From Death Certificate #09889. William Lee Dillard was born 9 Oct 1889 in Tennessee and died 15 Feb 1970. Mrs. W. L. Dillard, widow, was the Informant. He died of peritonitis from a ruptured diverticulum at Mesquite Memorial Hospital in Mesquite, where he had been for two weeks prior to his death. His usual residence was in Ladonia, TX. He was a retired cotton ginner. His father was Newton Dillard; his mother Frances A. Apple. He was buried at the Presbyterian Cemetery in Ladonia.

Last Rites Held for W. L. Dillard
Funeral services for W. L. Dillard, 80, who died at 2:30 Sunday, Feb 16, 1970 in a Mesquite hospital were held in the First Baptist Church _:30 Tues afternoon with the church pastor, the Rev. Joe Smith as officiant. Delta Funeral Home was in charge of interment in the Presbyterian cemetery.
Pallbearers were: William Clements, C. M. Owens, W. D. Fraley, Robert Hayes, Dick Scarbrough & Hoyt Eudy.
He was born Oct 9, 1889 in Tennessee the son of the late Newton & Frances Apple Dillard. He moved to Texas in 1900 and was married to Ola Fry in Ladonia in 1909. Mr. Dillard was a cotton gin operator.
Survivors include the widow of Ladonia; one daughter, Mrs. L. D. Huffines of Mesquite; one brother, Mizell Dillard of Durant, Okla.; a half-sister, Mrs. Ethel Weldon of Dallas; and one grandson of Mesquite.
