Witnessed a deed of his father's on 30 Jul 1819. [One could witness a deed at age 14]

Logan County Court Orders, Book 8: January Term 1823, p.12 "Jefferson Haden came into Court and made choice of Benjamin Temple as his Guardian" (Note: he was probably not quite 21 years)
25 Oct 1823. Logan Co Deed Book M, p.133. Elijah Morton's Deed of Mortgage to Jefferson Haden & Benjamin Temple his guardian and Trustee. $275 for a young gray stud horse.
4 Mar 1834. Logan Co DB S, p.276 Samuel Owens, late deputy for Charles Morehead, late sheriff of Logan Co. sold 266 acres to Nathaniel H. Felts & Jefferson Haden. 21 Dec 1827 was issued a fi fa against Abram B. Morton. Land on Gasper River. Felts & Haden were highest bidders. Proved 3 Mar 1834.

Logan Co DB T, p.253 8 Mar 1820 Benjamin Perkins & Hannah his wife of Warren Co to Jefferson Haden of Logan. $702.42. Perkins on the 31 Oct 1826 made to the sd Haden a Deed for the same land with the exception of one course. Now to correct the deed this deed is executed. Tract in Logan being same land conveyed to sd Benjamin Perkins by the heirs of James Haden dec'd by Spencer Curd Comm. On 12 Feb 1830 by order of Decree of Logan Circuit Court. Corne to Vineyard, with Vineyards line, Bells line, with Hadens line, corner to McNeely, his line, survey in the name of John Small, with his line. Assigns over to the said Jefferson Haden his heirs etc all the Lein he has upon the Heirs of said James Haden dec'd. Signed: Benja. Perkins, Hannah C. Perkins. Hannah released dower. Rec. 9 Oct 1834

13 Oct 1849 Survey #15847. For Samuel S. Perkins, 200 acres in Logan Co on waters of the Gasper River. Begin apple tree corner to David Spencer, dec'd and SW corner to A. Chick, running with his line, another corner to said chick, corner to Jefferson Haden, stake in Samuel Price's line and with his line, corner to Robert Woodward and in Spencer's line to the beginning. Enclosed a land warrant in the name of Saml. S. Perkins with the Survey therein and assignment to Jefferson Haden. The above suit is the one referred to in the assignment which has been dismissed.

The 1850 Logan County Census, Hh 385, lists: Jefferson Haden, age 47; Elizabeth, age 46; Margaret, age 15; and William, age 12. Married daughter Frances Ford was next door.
