Richard Jones and family have not been found in the 1850 Census. They must have been living in MO in 1850 since children were born in MO before that year but they were not in Dade Co. Fleming, another sibling, was in Lawrence Co but Richard Jones was not found there either. The 1870 census indicates that son John was born in Illinois about 1850 - maybe that's where Richard's family can be found.

John H. Jones married Matilda E. Vandergriffe on 6 Nov 1874 and he married Nancy E. Hoover, 24 Mar 1878.
Lydia Ellen Jones married William Put Evans on 15 Sep 1872 AND Lydia Ellen Jones married John Badon on 17 Feb 1876.
