According to "John Haden of Virginia", Anthony was a blacksmith in Jackson Co AL. He was a postmaster at Maysville, AL and a Justice of the Peace, 1840. Signed marriage certificates during that year. "Alabama Records" Vol. 38, Madison County by Pauline Jones Gandred pp.60-80

Application of Hartwell Kirkland and wife Mary, formerly Mary Haden, requesting Anthony W. Haden as Administrator of the estate of George Haden, dec'd, make final Settlement.
Farmer had plowed cemetery; 5 markers piled together. Sandstone obelisk marker had: "Anthony W. Haden b. Aug 17, 1808 d. May 3, 1864"

Interesting that no Adelia Tate Haden was in this family in 1850 - she should have been age 12.
I have been unable to find any of this family in 1860, other than possibly the eldest son, W. E. Haden in Texas.
