Either this William did not go to North Carolina, or the following is a different William Rountree:
Will is in Goochland DB 11, p.133. Dated 18 Aug 1775, probate 16 Sep 1776. Son Thomas the plantation where I live on Long Branch. Sons Samuel, William, Thomas. Daughters Jane & Nancy. Exec: Brother, Randolph and Major Hugh Moss. Wit: Thomas Chancellor, William Rian, Sarah Chancellor.
