Marriage based on date of birth of first child. Jacob's children were born at Braintree and Mendon, MA. At his death, the widow had to have court intervention to divide the estate.

Jacob Aldrich (George 1) was born at Braintree, Norfolk Co., MA, 28 February 1653 and died at Mendon, Worcester Co., MA, 25 June 1675, by Charles Whelock, J.P., Huldah Thayer, daughter of Ferdinando and Huldah (Hayward) Thayer, who was born at braintree, Norfolk Co., MA, 16 June 1657 and died after 16 January 1707 but before 1727. Huldah Aldrich married at Mendon for a second time, 15 September 1699, Ebenezer Staples. According to a bronze tablet placed in 1955 in an old cemetery located on Glendale St. in Uxbridge, Jacob is buried there. Again, it is more probable that he, like his father, is buried in the "Old Cemetery" on Providence St. in Mendon.
p. 27 Jacob, Jr., Seth and Peter married the Hayward sisters, Margery, Deborah and Hannah, daughters of Samuel and Mehitable (Thompson) Hayward
after Jacob died intestate, his estate was probated in Suffolk Co., MA. The fragile remains of probate records No. 2276 are held at the Massachusetts Archives, Columbia Point, Boston. His wife, Huldah, was administrator of the estate. His real and personal property was inventoried at 267 pounds. The probate judge determined that Jacob's estate "cannot be divided to and among all the children of said deceased without great prejudice to or spoiling of the whole". AS a result, the estate was sold to his son jacob, with a bond whereby Jacob, in time would pay his nine brothers and sisters their share, two-thirds before his mother Huldah died, and one third after her death.


A bronze tablet placed in 1955 in an old cemetery located on Glendale St. in Uxbridge says that Jacob is buried there. It is more probable that he, like his father, is buried in the "Old Cemetery" on Providence St. in Mendon.
