Married (2) Mary (Orr) Wilson on 22 Feb 1838 in Schuyler Co, IL. His first wife is believed to also have been named Mary, surname unknown. [she may instead have been Pruda Bailey, see note following] Stephen did not become a follower of Joseph Smith and the Mormons as some of his brothers and sisters did. By trade, he was a carpenter and joiner. Stephen died of cholera in 1849 and is listed in the Mortality Census Schedule of 1850.
