LADONIA, Ronald Harden Wishard, 62, of the Oak Ridge community passed away Saturday, May 8, 2004, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, May 10, at Oak Ridge Church of Christ. Sammy Dobbs and Paul Ghee will officiate with interment following in Oak Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Delta Funeral Home.
He was born on Sept. 12, 1941, in Oak Ridge. He was the son of Robert and Joyce Fink Wishard. On Feb. 22, 1966, he married Sue Thurman. She preceded him in death on March 21, 2001. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was retired from Campbell Soup in Paris. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Jason, in 2000.
Survivors include a granddaughter, Jayce Wishard of Honey Grove; two brothers, Joe Wishard and Tommy Wishard, both of Oak Ridge; three sisters, Sue Fox of Era, Beth Norwood of Bonham and Kay Holmes of Windom.

Note: His grave stone is in the shape of a cowboy hat, with his name and dates inscribed on the turned up brim.
