George first married Selia Gaugh [Celia Gough}, 18 May 1822, Stokes Co, NC. Richd Guymon was bondsman; R. D. Golding a witness.

He then married Frances Johnson in Surry Co, North Carolina 29 Nov 1829. His presence in North Carolina is a bit odd. His proposed father Laughlin is known to have gone to Kentucky between 1816 and 1820. If George was truly born about 1803, he certainly would not have been left behind. Did he go back to North Carolina at some point when he was of age? Actually, I believe he was a son of Thomas Flynn, not Laughlin, based on his location in Stokes Co and his age. I believe the relationship to be another of the many Flynn lineage errs.

George Flynn, 1 male age 20-30 [he was 27]. 2 girls under age 5. 1 female age 20-30.
The two little girls weren't possible if had married Frances in Nov of 1929 in NC unless the little girls were not hers.

Some believe the Armstead Flynn living in Greene Co IN was a son of George - likely from an earlier marriage. He doesn't seem to belong George's brother Josiah. However, he isn't in the 1830 census with the George above and Armstead was born 1823 and should have been. Of course the Sevier Co TN seems not to be this George Flynn at all.

George & family also moved to Green Co IN in the 1830's.

In 1850 Two of George's nephews, if he belongs in this family, Thomas & Josiah Junior, lived next to him.
