Seth ADAMSON
(23 Jul 1808 - Bef 1850)
Born 1806, or 1808, according to Bible record. [1808 seems most likely based on the 1850 census.]
Newberry Monthly Meeting. 30th of the 6th Month 1821 . Mary Adamson produced a certificate for herself & her children from Lost Creek Monthly Meeting. Her sons, names are Modecai, Solomon & Seth which was read and accepted.

In the 1850 Census in Madison Co, IA.
Seth Adamson, age 42, b. TN; Rody, age 33, b. IN
Hulda, 20, b. TN
Mary H. 17, b. IN
Aaron M. 14, and Solomon, 10 - all b. Indiana
Sarah E. 8, Martha 6, born in Missouri
Modecai, age 4, b. Iowa
Susannah, age 3/12, b. Iowa
The family may have moved from Blount Co TN to Indiana, then Missouri, and Iowa between 1830 and 1850.
Seth had a second marriage to Rhoda, surname unknown. Some of the children are hers, but there is not distinctive gap in the birth years of all the children. I did not find the marriage in the Indiana marriage database. A WikiTree database has a marriage to Rhoda Elizabeth Mills, 23 Jul 1835. Aaron would have been her first child.
1860 Census. St Stephen P.O. & Precinct, Richardson Co, Nebraska Territory
Rhoda Adamson, age 40, b. IN
Martha, 16, b. IN. Milton, 13, b. Iowa [Modecai?]. Melissa, 11, b. Iowa [Susannah?].
Solomon, age 20, b. Indiana. Emily, 19, b. Missouri. Alderson M., age 6 months, born in Nebraska [I would guess Solomon has married to Emily and Alderson is their child.]
