Sarah Jane SCOTT, daughter of Henry Ferguson SCOTT and Rebecca Ann MOSS. Henry was born 25 Apr 1793, died 1882, served in the War of 1812. They married 19 Dec 1815. Rebecca was born 10 Jan 1799, died 1844, daughter of Gabriel Moss & Elizabeth Oliver.

1850 Census for Leon Co FL lists James, age 52, Farmer, born in NC with wife Elizabeth and 4 young people [William and Sarah, Harriet & Caroline].

1900 Census says that her father was born in Virginia, her mother born in Georgia.
In 1900, Sarah was living with Sidney and wife Ada in Carrollton, GA.

From The Daily Constitution, printed in Atlanta, GA on 4 Apr 1909, the Carrollton, GA section:
"The many friends of Colonel and Mrs. Sidney Holderness are sympathising with them in the sad death of their mother, Mrs. Sarah Holderness, which occurred in Chattanooga on last Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Will Holderness, of Chattanooga, spent Sunday in Carrollton, where they attended the funeral of their mother, Mrs. Sarah Holderness.

Presumably Sarah was buried next to her husband. Carrollton City Cemetery.
