Moved to Missouri 1819/1820. He married Mary "Polly" Hammond [1795-1875] on 18 Aug 1813 in Logan Co KY. Polly was the daughter of Job Hammond. They had nine children.
Mary Hammond Ewing is buried in New Lebanon Cemetery, Cooper Co MO. She died 16 Jun 1875, age 78 years, 8 months. Reuben A. is also buried there.
Their son Finis B. Ewing, b. 26 Aug 1826 and d. 1 Jun 1846 is buried in New Lebanon Cemetery, Cooper Co MO.
Another son Jarvis Hammond Ewing, b. 26 Oct 1819 and d. 23 Jan 1905. is also buried in New Lebanon. Jarvis married Martha A. Marye, daughter of Frederick A. Marye on 10 Sep 1856. Martha was b. 23 Jul 1836 and d. 1 Jul 1896.
Daughter Sally A. Ewing, born 3 Aug 1832, a twin to Margaret R., died 1 Jul 1851 and is buried in New Lebanon.
