Gleaners Class Met with Mrs. Jack Deatherage
The Gleaners Class of the 1st Baptist Church met Wed., Mar 9 in its monthly business session at the home of Mrs. Jack Deatherage.
Plans were made for a Visitation Day and Talent Offering was given toward the new Educational Building. A dainty refreshment course was served ten members.
Mrs. Joe Haden, Jr. is teacher of the class and the class extends an invitation to all Young women not affiliated with a Sunday School Class to come and worship with us each Sunday morning.

Mrs. Clara Haden has been transferred from a Paris hospital to Park Plaza hospital in Houston.

Clara Fulton Haden died at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, 7 Aug 1978. Her home address was 506 Main Street, Ladonia, Fannin, Texas. Clara was born 17 Sep 1893 and was a widow age 84 at her death. She died of a fracture of the hip with accompanying arteriovascular disease. She had a fall to the floor. Her father was Samuel Hugh Fulton; mother was Lona Payne. Joe Haden was the informant. Burial in Ladonia Cemetery.

Mrs. J. B. (Clara Fulton) Haden Jr., formerly of Ladonia, died Aug 7 at a Dallas hospital.
A descendent of an early pioneer family of the Ladonia area, she was born Sept 17, 1893, at Ladonia, daughter of Samuel Hugh Fulton and the former Lona Sue Payne. She graduated from Ladonia High School and Texas Presbyterian College in Milford, receiving her degree in 1914.
On June 16, 1915, she Married Joe Ben Haden Jr. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church at Ladonia and a longtime teacher of the Gleaner's Class there. She was a member and past president of both the Southern Literary Club and the 1937 Study Club. she had also held offices at the district level in the Texas Federation of Women's Clubs. She was a past president of the Ladonia High School Parent-Teacher Association.
Survivors nclude a son, Dr. Joe Ben Haden III of Houston; a daughter, Mrs. Edward White Jr. of Dallas; and six grandchildren, Sharon, Virginia Claire and Greg White, and Kathy, Joe, and Doug Haden.
