1850 US Census, Perry Co TN; p.144a; Household 185 Living next door to Amos and Rebecca were Wm Randle, age 25, Constable, born in TN; Carolin age 24, Martha J. age 7, Mary E age 5, John W. age 4, Leander B age 1 and Susan Weeks age 19. All born in Tennessee.

Found in McDonald County, Richwoods Twp - 1860 Census. Also living with him are Wm. R. Comstock age 11; James Harvey Comstock, age 9; Harvey Comstock, age 19 - All born in Tennessee.
"Harvey" is Caroline's brother Harry. Wm R. & James Harvey are nephews - this must be where the boys were being abused when Tom Comstock took them away.

Goodspeed's Taxpayers of 1861 include W. R. Randall, Township 23, Range 30.

The Randels moved from Perry County TN to McDonald Co MO between the births of Nancy (1853) and Amos (1856). The last child was born in Kansas in 1865.

Census records from Tom Randel show that in 1870, the Randels were in Franklin Co KS, Ottawa Twp, p.8, Household #62. William was listed as hotel keeper, age 46. Children still at home included Nancy, Amos, Rebecca, William, & Theodore. William Comstock, age 22, born TN was still living with them. This would be a nephew of Caroline's - son of her brother Hugh Bonaparte.

p.428 (Page 28, Book A) William Randel and Caroline of Franklin Co Kansas to James F. Holmes & Rowan M. Kelley of Barton Co for $1000. Lot #2 of SW 1/4 of S7, T23, R29 and the west half of the SE 1/4 of S7, T23, R29 and the NE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 S18, T23, R29. 280.06 acres. 13 Oct 1865. On 23 Feb 1866, R. M. Kelley & Margaret J. Kelley of Barton Co MO sold the same parcels to James F. Holmes for $500 (their half). This seems to be an earlier copy of the deed that follows.
Deed Book A&B p.266 William R. Randall and Caroline of Franklin County, Kansas sell for $500 to James F. Holms 281.56 acress in Sections 7 & 18 of T23. 21 Mar 1867.
McDonald Co Deed Book C p.191 Dated 1 April 1862; Filed for record 13 Aug 1868. William R. Randall and Caroline Randall sold to Cyrus Davidson for $100 80 acres: SE1/4 NW qtr and NE1/4 of the SW qtr of S18,T23,R29. Cyrus and Martha Davidson then sold this same property to Thomas F. Lamberson for $450 on 7 April 186? [Martha is their oldest daughter]
Deed Book C, p.482 6 Jul 1869 Wm. R. Randal & Caroline his wife of Ottawa, Franklin County, Kansas sell to William B. Hale of McDonald County for $500 80 acres. Filed for record 31 Aug 1869.

In 1880, the Randels were in Chautauqua Co KS. William and Theodore still living at home and Leander, wife Caroline, and baby boy, live near by W. R. & Caroline had an 11 year old girl, Jenny Bryand, b. Ark. living with them.
