Abel Comstock

(1721 - 1814)



In August of 1776, Abel was a private in Capt. Carter's Company. DAR lists his service as the CT State Troops under Capt. David Olmstead.
He resided in Warren and Litchfield, CT. He was a Congregational minister. About 1805 the family removed to Hinman Hollow, Hartwick, Otsego Co NY, where he and several members of the family are buried on the old homestead grounds.
