On 1 Jul 1919, C. D. Adamson posted bond to marry Lena B. Dorough. Lee Boure was security. Both were age 27 and of Morrilton, Conway County. They were issued license and married by A. F. Skinner on the same day.

Listed in the 1920 Census still in Benton Co with wife Lena who was the same age as Clair, 28. She was born in AR, her father b. GA, her mother b. TN. They have the household number as William Edwards, Household #41, but "Clare" is listed as head of household. Perhaps a duplex - they were renting. Not likely family of Lena as William Edwards was born in Massachusett
His profession is Engineer, road work.

In 1930 Clare D. Adamson and wife Lena were living in Los Angeles Co, CA, Whittier Twp. They were both now 37, and had been married 10 years. Clare listed as a Machinist in the Oil Fields. Lena working in a citrus packing house. No children.

The California Register of Voters does show Clair D. Adamson living in South Whittier Precinct. The first list on which he appears is 1930. Clair and Mrs. Lena B. Adamson were living at 129 W. Cole Avenue. He was an oil worker. They were Democrats.
In 1932, their address was given as 129 W. Lambert Rd. They were at this same address through the year 1948. They do not appear on the voters' list in 1940 or 1950. In 1952 & 1954, their address was 12835 E. Lambert Rd., still in South Whittier Precinct.

Clair Donald Adamson died 20 May 1969, at 12:55 m, VA Hospital, North Little Rock, Pulaski Co. His residence was 1523 Sycamore St, North Little Rock. He was born 5 Jul 1892 in Rogers, AR. He was a maintenance foreman in the oil fields. Married at the time of his death from broncho-pneumonia complicated by psychosis with cerebral arteriosclerosis. His father was Enoch Adamson; his mother Mollie Beals. The surviving spouse was Lena B. Dorrough. The information came from the VA hospital records. Buried Edgewood Cemetery, North Little Rock, May 21st.

4 June 1969. Mrs. Lena D. Adamson applied for a Military Headstone for Clair Donald Adamson. He served in World War I as a Private in Co A, US Army 68th Engineers from 1 Jun 1918 to 4 Feb 1919. Lena lived at 1523 Sycamore St., North Little Rock, AR. The stone to be placed Edgewood Memorial Cemetery, 41st & Divison St., North Little Rock.

Clair D. Adamson
Clair Donald Adamson, aged 76, of 1523 Sycamore St, North Little Rock, a retired maintenance man for an oil-drilling company, died Tuesday. He was born at Rogers and had lived at North Little Rock for six years. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Rogers and was an Army veteran of World War I. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lena Dorrough Adamson. Funeral at Owens & Co. by Rev. James W. Helfers. Pallbearers will be Willard Ratliff, Earl Welch, Ray Chapple, Hurley Armstrong, Glen Dorrough, and Chaney Floyd. Burial will be at Edgewood Cemetery.
