( - Abt 1760)

The Sherrod family information said that Benjamin moved to South Carolina, but came back to Edgecombe Parish. From Edgecombe Deed Book 3, p.451: Richard Grandon of St. George Parish, Dorchester, SC to Benjamin Sherrod late of SC, power of Attorney dated 9 Sep 1749.

He wrote his Will 5 Jun 1759, probated in Halifax Co NC Jun Court 1760. Gives to son Benjamin, land in Northampton purchased of William Hurst. His brothers, William and John were to be trustees. [This website lists another son Richard, but does not say if he was named in the Will - there was also a son Richard for a later Benjamin but dates don't fit. Definitely some confusion.]
