Mrs. M. E. Montgomery died 20 Apr 1931, Palo Pinto County, TX. She lived 4 miles north of Mineral Wells and had lived there for 12 years prior to her death. She was a widow, born 10 Mar 1858. She of apoplexy; influenza was secondary. Her parents were both born in Louisiana - Mr. Higginbotham and Miss McCowan. The informant appears to have been J. F. Ackerman but the handwriting is poor. She was buried Brazos Valley on 21 April.


Texas death certificate of Mary Leona Gallaway, b. 7 Jan 1896 in Cooke Co TX and died, age 78, 29 Apr 1974, at St. Joseph Hospital in Ft. Worth, Tarrant Co, TX. Her residence was 4922 East Rosedale, Ft. Worth. She was a widow. Mrs. Ed Swirezynski was the informant. Her father's name stated to be Will Wesley Montgomery and her mother Martha Elizabeth Higginbotham. She died of a massive pulmonary embolism but also had cirrhosis of the liver. Buried Rose Hill Cemetery, Ft. Worth.
