Never married. His Obituary states that Jasper and Em both were still alive. For the 7 years before his death he had lived with his niece, Mrs. Till Sanders of Granby, MO, but he was visiting his Fanshier nephews at Great Bend when he died. Funeral services were at the Rocky Comfort Christian Church; he is buried at Rocky Comfort Cemetery.
