Lola's married name was Hill at the time of her mother's death.

She was first married to Luther Smith who died in 1917. Married Curtis Carroll Hill, 27 Mar 1920, Newton Co, MO

Luther Smith died at his home in this city last Friday. He was a highly respected citizen of this community and had been in ill health for several years. Death was due to tuberculosis and other ailments. He was a member of the Baptist Church of this place, having professed religion several years ago. He leaves a wife, one daughter and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his loss. Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist Church Saturday afternoon and interment was made in the city cemetery.

On Saturday, March 27, 1920, Curtis Hill of Rocky Comfort and Mrs. Lola Smith of Wheaton were united in marriage at Neosho.
The bride, who has made her home in Wheaton for several years, is the youngest daughter of Mrs. John Davidson of Rocky Comfort and is a highly respected lady of the community. The groom is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Hill of Rocky Comfort and owns a farm one half mile east of there to which they will soon move.
We join a host of friends in wishing them success and happiness.
