George Clinton Chamberlin and Sophronia Bouton Hanford were second cousins once removed, as well as childhood neighbors, acquaintances and friends.

1860 Census - she should have been living with Daniel as her children were all living together in Clark Co without her. The census information perhaps from one of the children as her name and age very wrong.

Sophronia B. Chamberlain died 13 Dec 1905, at her residence, 1807 R, Lincoln, Lascaster Co, NE. She died of "old age". Born 11 Nov 1874 in Ohio. Names of parents unknown but father was born Connecticut, mother born in New York. She was a widow. James Heaton was the informant; the certificate signed by W. E. Chamberlain, of the city. Buried in Oscaloosa, Iowa, Dec 16th.

Mrs. Sophronia B. Chamberlain, aged ninety-one years, died Wednesday night at 9:30 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hattie C. Thorne, 1807 R. Street. The remains were taken to Oskaloosa, Iowa, yesterday afternoon over the Burlington. Mrs. Chamberlain was the mother of W. E. Chamberlain, of this city.
