Does not appear with the family in 1900 - she had apparently had married or died as a child





Continuing research as proved this Jessie never married Samuel Fleming Horney - that was a very different Jessie Harrison

2 Oct 1895. Jessie Harrison to (Samuel) Fleming Horney, Rushville, Schuyler, IL. Marriage record lists his parents as Madison Horney and Elizabeth Sellers. Strangely she is listed as born about 1874 to Benj. C. Harrison. SO HAS THE WIFE OF SAMUEL FLEMING HORNEY BEEN MIS-ATTRIBUTED? DID jESSIE PERHAPS DIED AS A CHILD???

S. FLEMING HORNEY
S. Fleming Horney of Rushville, father of Mrs. Henry J. Nelson, Galesburg, died early today in a Rushville hospital.
A retired banker and landowner, Mr. Horney had been ill three years.
Funeral services will be held Friday in Rushville.

Another obit in the Herald-Whig, Quincy, IL, stated his widow at the time of death was Cora Horney. It also stated he was born 20 Dec 1872 in Littleton Township.
In 1930 and 1940 censuses, his wife was Martha Horney.
