Winn Otter Tail Co MN was 1897 I have cen s us records from Butler County, OH, 1820, and these Wynns are lis t ed. *Benjamin, *James, *Jonathan *Thomas, *Isaac, Benj,( or Berry), L e titia, 2nd wife of Thomas Wynn (d. 1819, Butler Cty., OH.).. These wer e l isted in Reily Twp. with each listed as a separate "head of househol d. " I have indicated with a * which are children of Thomas Wynn, b. PA 1 7 50-52, d. OH 1819 as listed in his will. The Isaac Wynn listed here wa s b orn in PA, 1782, and died in MN, 1880. I think that the James l i sted here as a son of Thomas Wynn might be the Wynn that I am looking f o r. He was the last child of Anne Abraham. I have these dates for the b i rth of Thomas's children: Benjamin, Nov. 21, 1774 Thomas, Jan. 2 6, 17 77 Isaac, Feb. 23, 1782 Johnathan, Oct. 23, 1787 James, March 16, 1 792 ( There were also two daughters: Ann and Elizabeth.) My best, unsubs tant iated hunch is that James, 1792, might be the father of "my" J oh n Henry Wynn. He is about the right date to be married to Mary Hardin , b orn in PA or VA in 1800-02. I don't know about the Harding name. Mar y H ardin Wynn is the legend in this branch of the family. I have heard o f a nd lost the reference for a John and Mary Hardin as her parents--lis te d in Augusta Cty. VA. There seems to be a naming pattern going in my b r anch of the family: James,1792 (maybe)--John Henry,1824--James Henry, 1 8 51--John Henry, 1886. The pattern started breaking down here, but the n e xt generations all seem to have John H. or James H. someplace - Vi Wy n n Grooms-Alban James WINN 1829 May 22 land patent Warren Co IN (land n e ar Fountain Co border) place of residence cited: Fountain Co IN -Naomi E m mich IGI carries the marriage of James Winn to Mary Harding 11/11/1819 , B utler CO.
