Other IN land purchases. I can check the census microfilms that came i n t o see if any lived or stayed in Warren or Fountain Cty (1850) 1-Dolp hi n Winn of Muskingum bought land in Tipton Cty. 2-20-1837 2-Wm. Mathis ( ?) Winn of Harrison bought land in Harrison Cty - 1848 3-Joseph Winn o f M adison Cty bought land in Hancock Cty - 8-1-1837 4-Wm. Winn of Hanco ck b ought land in Hancock Cty - 8-10-1837 5. Jacob Winn of Montgomery C ty b ought in Benton Cty -4-1-1848 6. Isaac Wynn of Madison bought land i n M adison Cty - 11-6-1830 7. Eli Wynn of Hamilton bought in Madison Cty - 9 - 9-1835 8. Washington Wynn of Cass bought in Cass1-30-1850 (We have con j ectured that he is the son of James Winn, and James bought in Ca s s Cty in 1849) 9. Isaac Wynn of Warren Cty. (son of James, broth e rof John Henry in Warren?????) bought in Cass on 1-5-1850 10.Warner W y nn of Warren Cty (one of James's kids????)bought in Howard on 1-5-1850 N o thing here about Jackson Winn whom we think is also a son of James Win n , Mary Harding. Were some of those other guys sons of James and Mary? A n yway, more evidence that some of these guys really hung out together. W e ll, cool weather and staying home seem to whetten my research urge. Vi M a ry moved with out husband toMinnesota moved with John and James Accor d ing to the 1880 Minnesota census for Ottertail County, Minnesota, J o hn Henry Wynn lived with his mother Mary and his sons: James Henry Wyn n a nd Charles Voorhees Wynn, and his daughters:  Rufus B. and Ida M. Mo th er Mary's age is given as 78, with a birthplace that could be Kenn or P e nn.  Mary died in 1892 in Wadena County, Minnesota, and her maiden nam e i s given as Hardin.  Hardin and Harding seem to be interchangeable. f ro m her second message: The Indiana connection for me is that John Henr y W ynn was married and farmed in Warren Cty., IN.  I don't know when he l e ft OH.  He and his first wife, Catherine Ellis, are listed on the 1850 I N C ensusfor Warren County. I have a copy of their wedding license f o r Dec., 1847.  Ason, Jesse Edward Wynn, was born there in 1852. Cather i ne must have died in IN. John Henry re-married to a Christiana High (H i gle) and her children listed as James Henry, Charles Voorhees, R u fus, B., and Ida M., moved with John Henry Wynn and Mary Harding Wynn t o M innesota.  I first found them listed in the MN 1880 Census. he re 's her WYNN  goal: James was b. 1793, PA, and marriedMary Harding in B u tler Cty OH in 1819. So she's shooting for the Warner who left a will 1 8 27 and named a son James. Can't let her get away with that quite yet, a s t here were other families who have as yet unnamed sons (perhaps more J a meses) But she has found a Mary Hardin(g) Wynn the right age to be the o n e recorded in the Butler Co OH marriage records- so she's repeat i ng my comment from yesterday I have not been able to find any children f o r James Wynn. John Henry Wynn was born in Butler Cty. OH in 1824 . t he 1820 Butler census Morgan twp p029 shows a male child under 10 a m a le 19-25 and a male over 45 with one female 16-25 if the young couple i s J ames and Mary, who is the elderly male? The 1830 Butler index shows n o J ames Winn- where had they gone,  so early??? the IN reference, W arren C ounty is the only hint of where we might start digging. I'll be o n the w eb, the BLM records for IN and MN this evening.  Let you k now if it ma kes any sense.
