She was born Feb. 6, 1926, in Commerce. She had lived in Commerce most of her life, except for a few years when she lived in California and Montana. She had worked as a cafeteria and food services manager and also for the senior campaign program in Ottawa, Craig and Rogers counties. She was a member of the Faith Tabernacle in Commerce and had been active with the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Brownies in California. She is survived by a friend of the home, Kerby C. Williams; one son, Steve Morehouse of the home; one foster daughter, Marilyn Bliss of Newberry Springs, Calif.; two grandsons; four great grandchildren; and one sister, Helen Bearden of Katy, Texas. arrangements are pending with the Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Picher.
