That line, more than any other in the scrawled note, best explained the manner of death of Ralph Kirkpatrick Cooke, 75, of 763 Eagle Ave. Cooke's body, a gunshot wound in the head, was found Tuesday in his car parked in the driveway of an apartment house at 1812 San Jose Ave. Police said the note to his 52-year-old bride of three months, Hazel, who had sued for divorce Monday, blamed marital difficulties for his action.
