The daughter of Richard and Mattie Johnson McPherson, she was born in the Concorde area of Scotland County, November 25, 1888. She was married to Glen Racey of Arbela, April 7, 1917, at Ft. Madison, Iowa. Mrs. Racey was a member of the Mt. Moriah Methodist Church, the Rebekah Lodge, and the OES of Memphis. She is survived by her husband; one son, Paul, Shelbyville, Missouri; two sisters, Mrs. Alva Beck, Ft. Madison; Mrs. Robert Racey, Malaga, Washington; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 16, at the Gerth and Baskett Funeral Home, Memphis. The Rev. Cleo Kottwitz will officiate. Interment will be in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
