William Lodge Younkin

William L. Younkin was born 29 January 1915 in Atkinson, Holt County, Nebraska, and died in India on 25 November 1943. He is buried in Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. On 5 November 1937 he married in Tulsa, Tulsa County, Oklahoma, to Margaret Trotter, who was born 31 August 1916.

There were two (2) children born of the marriage.

Posted at findagrave.com: Younkin was the co-Pilot of B-24 #42-73064, assigned to the 10th Air Force, 7th Bombardment Group, 9th Bombardment Squadron. The plane crashed taking off from Pandaveswar airbase in India on a bombing mission, and all aboard were killed.

He attended the University of Nebraska. His parents were William Eugene Younkin and Violet Frances (Davis) Younkin. He married Margaret Trotter, and they had two sons, William Younkin and Derek Lodge Younkin.
