William Michael Younkin

San Francisco Chronicle, San Francisco, California, Thursday, September 28, 1995, Page 54, Col. 6: Younkin, William Michael---Recent site manager for Robbins-Giola at Pearl Harbor, died Tuesday, September 19, at the home of family in Hancock, Maryland. He was 56. Mr. Younkin was descended from Major William Doge Younkin and Margaret Ellinor Trotter. He was the founder and CEO of Gnome Inc. Investment Advisory.

Prior to his recent position in Hawaii, Mr. Younkin was a project leader and site analyst for Control Data at NASA Ames Research Center, Moffit Field, Sunnyvale, California. He was born at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii and graduated from Central High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Upon graduation fro the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY, Class of 1961, he served with the 25th Infantry Division at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. He is survived by his brother, Derek Lodge, Younkin, of Los Altos, California.

Burial with military honors, was in the Post Cemetery at West Point on Friday, September 22, 1995. A Memorial Service will be held on September 30th at the First Presbyterian Church of Honolulu, HI. Donations to the American Cancer Society are preferred.
