Baytown Sun, Baytown, Texas, Wednesday, May 17, 1961, Page 2, Col. 2: Funeral Notices. Edward Jackson Berthe, 70, of 200 W. Humble, died at 5:15 a.m. Wednesday in a Baytown hospital. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Paul U. Lee Funeral Home with rev. Earl Bissex, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery under the direction of Paul U. Lee Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sarah Jane Berthe; two daughters, Mrs. Jane* Dix and Mrs. E. H. Sheffield, all of Baytown; five grandchildren and one great grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Lottie Clegg of Houston.

The family requests in lieu of usual remembrances, donations be made to the American Heart Association or the First Christian Church of Baytown.

Pallbearers will be George Bietsch, Ben J. Groner, Otis Ewing, E. J. Terry, O. W. Kennedy, and C. E. Wyatt. Honorary pallbearers will be all members of the production department of Humble Oil and refining Co.
