, Bakersfield, California, Friday, December 30, 1977, Page 32, Cols. 7 & 8: Kirkpatrick, Bertha M.---Graveside services were held yesterday in Casco Memorial park for Bertha M. Kirkpatrick, 88, 1601 3rd St., Wasco, who died Dec. 26 in a Wasco hospital. The Rev. John Abernathy, a former minister of the Wasco Christian Church, officiated. Mrs. Kirkpatrick was a native of Illinois who lived in Wasco more than 30 years. She received her education in Illinois schools. When she came to California she settled in Pond in 1932. Survivors include a son, Lewis, and a daughter, Hestell McKimmey, both of Wasco; four brothers, Ed, Tyle, Cliff and LeRoy Sluder, all of Texas; a sister, Mert Herdon of Texas; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mish Funeral Home-Wasco.
