Cedar Falls---Mrs. Nellie Boyd, 74, died at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the home of her son, Chester Boyd, 1623 Rainbow drive, following a long period of failing health. She had made her home there for the last 10 years. Prior to coming to Cedar Falls, she resided at 402 Lindale Avenue, Waterloo, and for 15 years---1923 to 1938---she was police matron at Electric park. She was a member of the Baptist church and the Royal Neighbor lodge in Cedar Falls. She was born Nellie Enloe at Rewey, Wis., daughter of Francis and Josephine Enloe, where she grew to young womanhood. She married Wesley Boyd Mar. 30, 1892 at Waterloo, who died many years ago. She is survived by a daughter and two sons, Mrs. Gladys Walker, Route 2, Waterloo; Chester, with whom she resided and Frank, 3807 East 44th street, Des Moines; also two brothers, Ed Enloe, 602 College street, and Orville Enloe, 316 Walnut street. There are also seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Jungkunz-Nelson funeral home, to which the body was taken. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery, New Hartford.
