Mrs. Ida Deaton Amis, 67, wife of Oscar Amis, Buckhorn, Perry County, died at 6 p.m. Sunday, at her home. Survivors in addition to her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Virgie Johnson, Lexington; four sons, Ralph Amis, Commiskey, Ind.; Ora Amis, Holton, Ind.; Spec. 5 Lewis Amis, Germany, and Billy Roy Amis, Georgetown; a sister, Mrs. Lila Cornett, Morris Fork; two brothers, Logan Deaton, Hazard, and Ray Deaton, Buckhorn; a half-brother, Eldon Riley, Buckhorn, and 17 grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Gays Creek Baptist Church, Buckhorn. The body is at the Engle Funeral Home, Hazard, where friends may call after 9 a.m. today.
