The Choteau Acantha, Choteau, Montana, August 14, 1991, Page 3, Col. 2 & 3: Doris L. Beringer, 78, died of natural causes on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 1991, in the North Calley Hospital at Columbia Falls. Born Sept. 10, 1912, in Badger, Minn., Beringer moved to Montana at an early age with her family. She attended schools in Dutton. In 1928 she married Melvin Beringer in Livingston. The couple farmed and ranched at Collins, living most of their lives in the Dutton-Conrad area. Her husband died in 1969. In 1973 she moved to Cut Bank. She moved to Columbia Falls six years later. Survivors include daughters, Billie Embody of Coram and Peggy Lowe of Whitefish, four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. A private service was planned by the family. Johnson Mortuary handled the arrangements. Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice or the Gift of Life project of Columbus Hospital in Great Falls.
