She was born May 2, 1908, in St. Paul, MN, the daughter of George Chatfield and Mary Rosetta Snow. She married Dewey Kading in September of 1934; he preceded her in death in 1962. Ada was a member of First United Methodist Church of Whitewater, Mays and Martha Club of Whitewater, Ten Club and American Legion Auxiliary William Graham Post 143 of Whitewater. She was also a former member of the Whitewater Kitchen Band.
Surviving are her daughter, Marilyn (Harold) Kienbaum of Whitewater; 6 grandchildren: Kenneth Kienbaum of Ft. Atkinson, Janice Kienbaum of Barron, John (Janice) Kienbaum of Whitewater, James (Jodeen) Kienbaum of Whitewater, Leonard Kienbaum of Whitewater, and Nancy (Randy) Thelen of Elkhorn; 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Vida Johnston, a brother, Harley Chatfield; and a special companion Gus Utterberg.
Funeral services will be held Sat. Jan. 28, at 1:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Whitewater, WI, with Rev. Mary Kirkpatrick officiating. Friends may call from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Whitewater. The Skindingsrude Funeral Home is in charge of arrangement.
