Janesville Daily Gazette, Janesville, Wisconsin, Wednesday, December 23, 1953, Page 13, Col. 2: Whitewater---Mrs. Mary Chatfield, 81, died at 1 a.m. Tuesday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ed Johnson, Lansing, Mich., where she was living. She was born in Lowell, Wis., and had lived in Whitewater since 1933. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Dewey Kading, Whitewater; a son, Harley, Whitewater; a sister, Mrs. R. Twist, Poynette; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren. Her husband, George Chatfield, died in 1945. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Skindingsrude and Lein Funeral Home, the Rev. William Everson, pastor of Whitewater Bible Church, officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight.
