Posted at findagrave.com. Virginia Waller, 94, of Christopher, died at 2:25 a.m. Monday, Sept. 5, 2016, at home. She was born April 27, 1922, in Mulkeytown, to Harley and Marie (Watson) Kirkpatrick. In November of 1938, she married Willis Burton Waller, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 2010. Surviving are her children, Gloria and Jim Jenkins of Christopher and Vivian Turner of Energy; grandchildren, Shelly and Donnie Baine of Mulkeytown and Bradley and Sue Johnson of St. Charles, Missouri; great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Madison Baine; sister, Phyllis Grubbs of Christopher; and sisters-in-law, Sue Kirkpatrick of Christopher and Wanda Kirkpatrick of Benton; several nieces and nephews. Virginia was a homemaker and a member of the Eastern Star. She attended the First Baptist Church of Christopher. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Hester Salo and Ruby Kirkpatrick; and two brothers, Norman Kirkpatrick and Richard Kirkpatrick. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, in Gilbert Funeral Home in Christopher, with Minister George Biby officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mulkeytown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home.
